helmet step-by-step...kindaby ~Valimaa

well...its kinda like a step-by-step of how I made the helmet.
-Im not sure if its explanatory enough to actually get an idea of how I did it since I left out loads of "steps"...but otherwise it would go on for ever ><

-Feel free to ask about anything of interest ^^

Edit: and thats the reason why I dont do tutorials...I leave things out ><

From the top materials:
-Steel helmet(norman helmet).
-Foam(random open-celled hard foam).
-Fiberglass + some "bondo" like stuff(I just mixed some glue and stuff I had laying around cos I didnt have any bondo XD)
-Leather...lots of leather ^^

I used a couple of different kinds of paints:
-Leatherdye (the first dark brown colour is just your normal sprit-based leatherdye).
-Wood protection/treatment (the white is some turpentine-based paint normally used for wood...I dont like to use acrylics or what you'd normally would use for painting leather white)
-Acrylics (all the "gold" is done with acrylics from "Games Workshop")
-Army painter dip (a kind of varnish or stain normally used for finishing wargame models)

A steel helmet? Nice! I thought it was a half a watermelon! Very cool non-tutorial. Fabulous helmet!!!

This looks amazing! I do have a question though. How did you form the leather? I know wet forming is what most people use, and I'm trying to learn all I can on forming so I can finally make my Iron Man helmet.
